Media Use


Media use is about usage of media among peoples.
Media such as television, computer, telephone, radio etc.
Media always changing from time being, and
follow the latest technologies and knowledge.
Our media has been changed day by day, from old telephone to now
the smart phones which is now very popular among the peoples.
Technologies and knowledge is improving day by day,
Our media are also improving day by day.
Now, the computer not just for documenting anymore,
It can be an entertainment, workshop, social network and etc.
Internet is also an important element to cause the changes of media.
It made people have more chance to communicate with each other.
With Internet, people do not need to always wait for mails and letters.
They can now communicate even they are in far apart of places.
Many new media is introduced, old media is slowly been forgotten by
the peoples.
So, media use has been changed.
Once, newspaper is very important for peoples to get
the news around them.
But nowadays, the latest and newest technologies has been
took over the newspaper.
News now can be get free from the internet.
And it is much easier for now, because smart phone are introduced.
People can view their newspaper anywhere.
They do not need to carry a stack of papers and walk around anymore.
They do not need to have a radio around to listen to the music.
They do not need to carry heavy documents around.
Internet can also help for information searching.
New media are very convenient and useful now.
So, old media use is decreasing, new media use is increasing.
People tend to use the media which are much better and make their life easier.
And so, the rate of television, newspaper and those old media been use
is slowly decreasing.
The new media are the one increasing day by day.
Even now the old media is not popular anymore, but still
There is some group of people still using them.
Especially those old aged peoples.
They are hardly to catch the newest and latest technologies.
Some groups are those people who do not know how to use the new media.
But still there is large amount of people using new media.
This is because the new generations are easy to get to know
about new media and way to use it compare to old aged people.

Now is the time get to know some new 5 terms.
Cross-disciplinary
- refers to knowledge that explains aspects of one discipline in terms of another. Common examples of cross-disciplinary approaches are studies of the physics of music or the politics of literature.

Inter-disciplinary
- refers to new knowledge extensions that exist between or beyond existing academic disciplines or professions. The new knowledge may be claimed by members of none, one, both, or an emerging new academic discipline or profession.

Trans-disciplinary
- In practice, transdisciplinary can be thought of as the union of all interdisciplinary efforts. While interdisciplinary teams may be creating new knowledge that lies between several existing disciplines, a transdisciplinary team is more holistic and seeks to relate all disciplines into a coherent whole.

Qualitative Research
- is by definition exploratory, and it is used when we don’t know what to expect, to define the problem or develop an approach to the problem. It’s also used to go deeper into issues of interest and explore nuances related to the problem at hand. Common data collection methods used in qualitative research are focus groups, triads, dyads,  in-depth interviews, uninterrupted observation, bulletin boards, and ethnographic participation/observation.

Ethnographic Research
- the investigation of a culture through an in-depth study of the members of the culture; it involves the systematic collection, description, and analysis of data for development of theories of cultural behavior.
